    Join the 3Elements team!

We are currently looking to fill one position. All positions are remote/virtual based and unpaid. You will need to have a Submittable account to send your resume.

3Elements Review seeks an enthusiastic, and dedicated prose editor to join our team.

This position will be trial-based to ensure you’re a good fit for our team, submissions are being read in a timely manner, and that your editing and proofreading is thorough.

    Prose editor

We are looking for a candidate who is comfortable with, experienced in, and passionate about both fiction and nonfiction. Our editors MUST keep pace with submissions, comment extensively on pieces during the reading period, and possess strong copy editing and proofreading skills. We prefer a candidate with strong knowledge of social media.

We typically receive between 25 to 75 prose submissions per quarter, reading them as they come in so that when submissions close, we can quickly accept or decline. We then have two months to edit, proofread, and release the issue. Our editors must be willing to adhere to a schedule, including reading incoming pieces within a week of receiving them and sooner if prompted.

    Responsibilities

    • Meet deadlines
    • Proofread, edit, repeat
    • Be able to communicate effectively, work well with others, and enjoy constant collaboration with other members of the staff
    • Preferably, an awesome writer!

If you’re interested in applying, please do the following:

    • Tell us why you would like to be an editor for 3Elements Review.
    • Share your favorite writers and/or genres.
    • Let us know what your favorite literary journals are.
